Mystic River is a transformational festival of music & art that celebrates the mystical and folk music traditions of India. Music and poetry have the power to touch our hearts with “shabd ki chot” as the mystics call it. The festival will offer a deep dive into the wisdom and worldview of the mystic poets, like Kabir, Mirabai, Lalan Fakir etc and will celebrate the spirit of love and oneness through music. The mystics and their songs invite us to go within, to dissolve our boundaries, shed our egos, remove discrimination, and most importantly, to LOVE.

THE RIVER
The river Ganga, on whose banks the festival is taking place, is deeply venerated and worshipped by Indians since millennia. Rishikesh, where the river descends from the himalayas onto the plains, has for centuries attracted seekers and mystics, who meditated on its river banks and had deep mystical experiences. Mystic River festival celebrates the river Ganga that has been the cradle of wisdom, tradition and culture.
